Abstract:
A straight wing type wind and water turbine capable of properly determining a solidity, a mounting angle, and a wing thickness in consideration of the efficiency, self−startability, and noise of the wind and water turbine, comprising two−dimensional wing type straight wings (3) disposed parallel with the axis of the wheel, wherein, when a virtual line is drawn from the axis of the wing to the wing chord line of the straight wing so as to be orthogonal to each other and an angle obtained by rotating the straight wing around an intersection (21) is taken as a mounting angle &agr , the mounting angle is set within the range of &plus 3 to −2 °, when the ratio of a distance X between the leading edge (7) of the straight wing (3) and the intersection to the wing chord length C is taken as the mounting position, the mounting position is set within the range of 15 to 40 %, and where a distance between the axis and the straight wing (3) is a radius R, the wing chord length of the straight wing is C, and the number of wings is N, NC&sol R is set within the range of 0.5 to 2.2, the ratio of the maximum wing thickness T to the wing chord length of the straight wing is set within the range of 15 to 25 %, and the maximum wing thickness of the supporting wing to the wing chord length is 15 to 20%, and chevron parts of wing type in cross section are formed at the end parts of the straight wings.
