Title:
STRAP-LIKE ANTI-SKID DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/013074
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The device consists of a block (A) that is placed on the surface (E) of the tyre, and a belt (B) that tightens the block onto the wheel, while in contact with the surface (D) of the tyre and the rim (C). The device is installed at right angles, embracing the tyre and wheel. After installation of the device, the wheel will meet increased resistance as the block increases the contact resistance of the tyre with the soil, thereby setting the vehicle in motion. The device is attached to the wheel and can have a variety of dimensions, shapes and materials, depending on the soil, and can be used for any type of wheel. One or more devices can be placed on the same wheel, as well as on the other wheels of the vehicle.

Claims

1,- Vehicle wheel thrust system comprising a block (A) that is in contact with the soil (Z) and rests on surface (E) of the tyre (D) which, with the addition of block (A), meets a higher resistance force; and a belt (B) that embraces the wheel at right angles, i.e. the tyre surface (D) and the rim (C) and is tied to the block (A) as shown in figure (1 );

2,- Vehicle wheel thrust system according to claim 1, where at least one belt (B) tightens block (A) onto the wheel by means of a pawl, a buckle, a clasp or hooks, so that block (A) is attached very steadily onto the tyre.

Description:
Description

STRAP-LIKE ANTI-SKID DEVICE

This invention refers to a device that can be attached to the wheel of a vehicle and will thrust the vehicle, using the resistance force that is created during the rotation of the wheel.

When installed on the wheel, the device improves contact with the soil and increases resistance during the rotation of the wheel, thereby setting the vehicle in motion.

No other similar devices are known.

The advantage of this invention is that it effectively sets the vehicle in motion when this not otherwise achievable due to the fact that the wheel is spinning without moving the vehicle.

The device is installed at right angles, embracing the tyre and rim.

The device consists of a block (A) and a belt (B) that can be made of various materials, depending on the type of soil the vehicle wheel is moving on. The block (A) is placed on the surface (E) of the tyre that comes into contact with the soil (Z), while the tensioned belt (B) that keeps the block tied to the wheel is in contact with the surface (D) at both sides of the tyre and the rim (C), as shown in figure 1.

The belt (B) can be made out of one piece and either pass through the block or be fixed onto the block.

The device can also consist of two belts. The first belt is placed on the inner side of the wheel, connected to the block that is attached to the inner side of the wheel, and passing to the outer side of the wheel through the rim.

The other belt is placed on the outer side of the wheel, attached to the outer side of the block.

The two parts can be tied together, as the inner part of the belt passes through the rim and is located on the outer side of the tyre and rim. The two belts are connected there by a pawl, a buckle, a clasp or hooks. In this way they can be placed on the wheel and clamp the block onto the wheel, which is their basic purpose.

The belt can also be hooked onto the rim and thereby clamp the block onto the wheel.

After placement of the device, the effort made by the wheel as it rotates results in higher resistance, thereby setting the vehicle in motion.

The device is placed on the wheel at only one location of the rim and tyre, as shown in figure 1.

The belt and block can have a variety of dimensions, shapes and materials, depending on the soil the wheel is standing on.

One or more devices can be placed on the same wheel, as well as on the other wheels of the vehicle.

The device can have a variety of dimensions, shapes and materials and be placed on any type of wheel.
