Abstract:
A strength training device (100) has a weighted central portion (110), a first side portion (102) on a first side of the central portion, a second side portion (104) on a second side of the central portion, a first resiliently deformable element (184) joining the central portion and the first side portion, a second resiliently deformable element joining the central portion and the second side portion a first grip portion (192) attached to the first side portion, a second grip portion attached to the second side portion such that, in use, relative movement of the grip portions by a user deforms the first and second resiliently deformable elements to facilitate concentric muscle contraction.
