STRETCH YARN INCLUDING METAL FILAMENT AND TEXTILE PRODUCT COMPRISING THE YARN

A metal-filament-including stretch yarn which has high stretchability, whereby fabric having extremely high flexibility can be produced therefrom; and a garment or another textile product which each is produced from the metal-filament-including stretch yarn and has excellent cut resistance. The yarn is a twisted yarn or covered yarn comprising: a high-stretch yarn as a core yarn; and yarns including a high-strength metal filament (a yarn of a high-strength metal filament and a plied yarn composed of a high-strength metal filament and a synthetic fiber or natural fiber).  As the high-stretch yarn, a yarn composed of polyurethane fibers is the best.  Other examples include rubber yarns constituted of natural rubber or a synthetic rubber.  Also usable are wool, acetate, polyamide, polyester, etc.  As the high-strength metal filaments, stainless-steel filaments are practical from the standpoints of profitability, corrosion resistance, etc.  Other examples include filaments of metals having high breaking strength, such as high-strength steels, aluminum alloys, pure titanium, and titanium alloys.
