Abstract:
Provided are: a stretchable tape that has excellent water absorbency even in a stretched state, and that can offer a comfortable feeling when worn; and a garment using said stretchable tape. This stretchable tape (10) is a woven fabric in which warps are inserted in a ground weave, wherein: the ground weave is stretchable at least in the longitudinal direction of the stretchable tape (10); the warps are inserted so as to constitute raised threads in the longitudinal direction of the stretchable tape (10); in the woven fabric, island parts (1) each being 1 mm to 5 mm long in the longitudinal direction of the stretchable tape (10) and 1.5 mm to 5 mm long in the width direction of the tape are formed by the raised threads; and groove parts (2) formed by a plain-woven weave are provided between the island parts (1).
