Abstract:

A stretched layered film having oxygen gas barrier properties which comprises a layer (a) made of a composition comprising a polycarboxylic acid polymer (A) and a plasticizer (B), a layer (c) containing a polyvalent-metal compound (C), and a layer (b) made of a thermoplastic resin, characterized in that the film has at least one layer constitution unit consisting of the layer (a) and the layer (c) adjacent thereto and that at least the layer (a) and the layer (b) have been stretched in an areal stretch ratio of 1.1 to 100. This film is produced by a process which comprises coating and stretching steps. Thus, it has become possible to form a plasticizer-containing polycarboxylic acid polymer layer in a reduced thickness, which has been difficult to produce through coating only.
