Abstract:
In order to optimally minimize the neck-in of a film when the film is stretched in the MD direction, a stretching device comprises an advance mechanism, a take-up mechanism, and film pressing units (40) disposed at positions between the advance and take-up mechanisms and at both ends of the conveyance path for the film (F) in the TD direction. The film pressing units (40) have: upper pressing rollers (43) disposed above the conveyance path for the film (F) so as to be parallel to and separated from each other in the MD direction of the film; and lower pressing rollers (46) disposed below the conveyance path for the film (F) so as to face the upper pressing rollers (43) and so as to sandwich the film (F) from above and below in cooperation with the upper pressing rollers (43). The upper pressing rollers (43) and the lower pressing rollers (46) are rotatably supported in an attitude in which the rotation axes thereof are tilted outward in the TD direction of the film (F) toward the downstream side in the MD direction of the film (F).
