Abstract:
A stretching device for stretching a sheet used for manufacturing an absorbent article is characterized by being provided with (A) a first projection group arranged in a row along the stretching direction of the sheet, and (B) a second projection group arranged in a row along the stretching direction and meshing with the first projection group, (C) stretching the sheet in the stretching direction while catching the sheet between the first projection group and the second projection group, and (D) comprising, in a space in which the sheet is caught between the first projection group and the second projection group, a first region, a second region adjacent to the first region in the stretching direction, and a third region on the side opposite to the first region and adjacent to the second region in the stretching direction, wherein (E) the stretching amount of the sheet when the sheet is caught between the first projection group and the second projection group in the second region is larger than the stretching amount thereof in the first region and smaller than the stretching amount thereof in the third region.
