A stretching device and method for a thin film. The stretching device comprises a fixing assembly (1) and a moving assembly (2); the fixing assembly (1) comprises a first fixing plate (11) and a second fixing plate (12), the first fixing plate (11) and the second fixing plate (12) being provided opposite to each other and used for respectively fixing two ends of a thin film (5); the moving assembly (2) is connected to the first fixing plate (11) and/or the second fixing plate (12) so as to drive the first fixing plate (11) and/or the second fixing plate (12) to move, thereby stretching the thin film (5). The stretching device for a thin film fixes the two ends of the thin film (5) by means of the first fixing plate (11) and the second fixing plate (12) of the fixing assembly (1), and then drives, by means of the moving assembly (2), the first fixing plate (11) and the second fixing plate (12) to move together or the first fixing plate (11) or the second fixing plate (12) to move alone, so that the first fixing plate (11) and the second fixing plate (12) move away from each other, so as to stretch the thin film (5), and eventually smooth the thin film (5) and remove all wrinkles, facilitating the precise positioning of the thin film, solving the problem of wrinkle formation occurring after bonding.
