Abstract:
The present invention provides a strigolactone receptor inhibitor for plants, which contains, as effective component, at least one triazole urea compound represented by formula (I); an agricultural composition; a method for using this agricultural composition as, for example, a branching enhancer for plants; a Striga seed germination inhibitor that contains the triazole urea compound; and a novel triazole urea compound that is useful as a strigolactone receptor inhibitor for plants. In the formula, A represents a group represented by (A-1) or (A-2). R1 and R2 represent a hydrogen atom and so forth. R3 and R4 represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbons, a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 20 carbons, or an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbons and so forth. In addition, R3 and R4 may together form a ring.
