Abstract:
Provided is a striking work machine having high workability and having a cylinder cover which can be easily attached/detached and which is prevented from being accidentally displaced or falling. A striking work machine (10) is provided with: a cylinder case (16) that houses a cylinder tube into which a striking mechanism for striking with a tip tool is incorporated; and a cylinder cover (60) that is made of a heat-insulating material and that covers the outer periphery of the cylinder case (16). The cylinder cover (60) has an upper cover (61) as a first cover and a lower cover (71) as a second cover which can be separated from each other in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylinder case (16), and a tip cover (81) that is a fastening member engaged with the first and second covers so as to fix the first and second covers to the cylinder case (16).
