Abstract:
The present invention relates to a string optimizer that finely adjusts an amount of power generation in a string module unit, and a photovoltaic power generation system and method thereof. A string optimizer that is connected between an inverter and an output terminal of each of a plurality of solar cell strings constituting a photovoltaic power generation system, boosts or bypasses a voltage applied from the solar cell string and outputs the voltage, comprises: a control unit that controls an operation of the string optimizer on the basis of a preset control algorithm; a booster unit that boosts or bypasses the voltage transmitted from the solar cell strings, and outputs the voltage; and a switch unit controlling the boosting voltage of the booster unit by means of on/off control of the control unit, wherein the control unit controls the on/off time of the switch unit in response to a request signal for fine adjustment of a power generation amount generated by a comparison analysis result of a predicted power generation amount of the photovoltaic power generation system predicted in advance on the previous day and an actual power generation amount of the photovoltaic power generation system, thereby adjusting the boosting voltage and finely adjusting the power generation amount outputted in a string module unit of the photovoltaic power generation system, such that an error between a predicted amount of power generation predicted in advance and an actual amount of power generation for the photovoltaic power generation system can be adjusted to be within a preset tolerance rate.
