Abstract:

A stroke information measuring instrument comprises an image sensing section (4) which acquires swimmer's image data at every predetermined time, a pixel extracting section (18) which extracts pixels matching with a body image, a profile data generating section (20) which generates profile data by integrating body images in a predetermined direction, an end point extracting section (24) which extracts the end point of each profile data, a stroke point extracting section (26) which extracts stroke points matching with a swimmer's predetermined posture on the basis of the periodical movement of each end point, and a calculating section (28) which calculates stroke information on the basis of the stroke points.
