CLAIMS

1. A structural member (1) comprising one or more connection members (2) and one or more supports (3) connecting the connection members (2) to each other, characterized by

• at least one support channel (4) provided on the support <3)t and

• a profile (6) that is detachably fixed to the support channel (4) and whereon the panel (5) is mounted,

3. A structural member (1) as in Claim 2, characterized by at least one slot (10) that is bored on the side wall of the profile (6) and that allows the fixing member (9) to be reached from outside.

A structural member (1) as in Claim 1, characterized by one or more connection channels (7) that extend along the profile (6) and a mounting channel (8) that is positioned behind the connection channel (7) aid that has an aperture facing a direction opposite to that of the connection channel (7).

The present inveniofi relates to a structural member used in architectural structures lor creating temporary .spaces., especially m temporary structures such as exhibition stands,

According to specific needs, panels manufactured from transparent, translucent and opaque materials am used in buildings to divide spaces, on walls and ceilings and In structures such as exhibition stands and space frame systems, in various state of tie art embodiments, due to being composed of several parte and requiring precise workmanship, the structural members whereon tie connection members are mounted do not provide a practical solution and cause various problems in applications such as exhibition stands wherein mounting and dismounting processes are required to be performed regularly. Temporary space applications require quick and safe installations.

In the state of the art, the structural members are composed of connection members, sup ports that connect connection members and panels that are mounted onto the supports. Many embodiments are known that enable toe panels to be easily mounted and dismounted.

In the state of the art German Patent Application No, DE195G9397, the panel is connected to the slot on the support by means of an additional connection member provided on the panel

Another stole of the art embodiment is disclosed in the European Patent Application No. EP461591. In tote document, the panels are mounted onto the slide on the support. The aim of the present invention is the realization of a structural member wherein: the panels are enabled to be easily mounted onto and dismounted from the support, The structural member realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a profile- that is feed onto the support and onto which the panel is mounted. The profile is a separate intermediary part that is independent of the support and the panel, Therefore, the profile is fixed onto the support and the panels are easily mounted onto the profile.

The profile comprises connection channels that enable the panels to be mounted thereon,. The connection channels are configured so as to enable the edge of the panel to be inserted therein,

The profile comprises the connection channel and the mounting channel that is positioned behind! the connection channel in a direction opposite to the direction of the connection channel and that is shaped in a manner to be fitted into the channel on the support. The mounting channel partially encloses the support channel while the support channel is fitted into the mounting channel.

The profile and the support can be fixed to each other by means of any fixing means while in the preferred embodiment of the invention, a fixing member that is explained in detail below is used. After the fixing member is mounted onto the profile, the profile can be easily mounted onto and dismounted from the desired support: and can be used: several times, in the embodiment of the present invention, the fixing member enables the user to attach the profile onto the support in an easily detachable manner without the need for using an additional tool. Thus, the structural member can be quickly and easily mounted and dismounted. Quick and easy mounting and dismounting of the structural member Is one of the most important criteria taken into consideration while designing structural members. Furthermore, by means of the present invention, the structural member hi enabled to be safely instated and dismounted.

The fixing member has a first position wherein the fixing member is enabled to be easily engaged with and detached from the support channel and a second position wherein the fixing member, and thus the profile, is enabled to be fixed onto the support and the fixing member is locked by preventing the profile from detaching from the sipped channel.
