Abstract:
A structural steel material that exhibits excellent weather resistance even in high salt spray environments is provided at low cost by making the component composition to contain, in mass%, specified amounts of C, Si, Mn, P, S and Al and compounding the five elements, Cu, Ni, Co, Nb and Sn in respective ranges of:
Cu: 0.01% to 1.00%
Ni: 0.01% to 0.65%
Co: 0.002% to less than 0.220%
Nb: 0.005% to 0.200%, and
Sn: 0.005% to 0.200%.
