Title:
A STRUCTURE FOR ANTI-NOISE BARRIERS FOR ROADS AND HIGH-SPEED MULTILANE MOTORWAYS, OUT OF A CONGLOMERATE OF GROUND TYRES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/026443
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A structure for anti-noise barriers for roads and high-speed multilane motorways, consisting of a conglomerate (1) of used tyres, ground together with their inner wires, and applied onto a metal framework (2) of inner support, that may be realized with reinforcing iron rods, and it may be covered with an anti-sound enamel so as to absorb acoustic vibrations even of great intensity, as the structure itself and the features of the molecule layers forming the conglomerate prevent the transfer of the vibration from one granule to the other.

CLAIMS
1. A structure for antinoise barriers for roads and higllspeed multilane motorways, characterized in : a conglomerate (1) of used tyres, ground together with their inner wires and with elements connected with adhesive materials like polyuretllanic resins, at room temperature, with an internally hollow shape for reducing the total weight ; an inner supporting framework (2), out of reinforced iron rods and possible strengthening thin plates (3), around which said conglomerate (1) is cast by means of fonnworks ; a series of cavities (4), arranged on the surface of said structure during constmction, for placing thereon portions of lawn and/or artificial leaves and flowers, so as to aquire a pleasant aesthetic look; a layer of enamels or other sotmdabsorbing products cooperating in absorbing the noise together with the molecular structure of said conglomerate (1), which prevents the transfer of the acoustic vibrations through its thickness ; means for removing said barriers by means of a crane, like upper hooks (5) and lower seizings (6) for the transport thereof with elevator undercarriage ; possible ballast means and means for fixing to the ground ; possible means for connecting each modular portion of the antisound barrier with the adjacent elements.
2. A structure for antinoise barriers for roads and highspeed multilane motorways according to claim 1, characterized in the presence, in the mixture of said conglomerate 1, also of other light recycling materials, like expanded polyurethane, wood waste, expanded clay and different plastic materials, besides tire elements of ground tyres.
3. A structure for antinoise barriers for roads and higllspeed multilane motorways according to claim 1, characterized in that it englobes cement barriers, actually used for separating the, lanes of roads and higllspeed multilane motorways, as a stabilizer in unfavourable atmospheric conditions and as an absorbing element for possible bumps at the side of the lane.
4. A structure for antinoise barriers for roads and highspeed multilane motorways according to claim 1, characterized in a structure 1 realized with two blocks superimposed one upon the other for facilitating the assembly during installation.
Description:
A STRUCTURE FOR ANTI-NOISE BARRIERS FOR ROADS AND HIGH-SPEED MULTILANE MOTORWAYS, OUT OF A CONGLOMERATE OF GROUND TYRES The present invention concerns a structure for anti-noise barriers for roads and high-speed multilane motorways, out of a conglomerate of ground tyres.

The need is well known to soften and absorb the deafening and sometimes continuous noise produced by the passage of cars, trailer trucks and TIRs on roads and high-speed multilane motorways, in particular in the presence of human installations.

At present, this problem is solved by means of barriers of plastic or metal or wood and earth material which, by the way, only partially solve the problem because the further layers of molecules fonning the same elastically transmit the acoustic vibrations and therefore the sound.

It is the aim of the present invention to completely solve above mentioned need in a functional and ecological way.

The aim set forth is reached by means of the structure according to the present invention, consisting of a conglomerate of used tyres, ground together with their inner wires, and applied onto a metal framework of inner support, that may be realized with reinforcing

iron rods, and it may be covered with an anti-sound enamel so as to absorb acoustic vibrations even of great intensity, as the structure itself and the features of the molecule layers forming the conglomerate prevent the transfer of the vibrations from one granule to the other.

The structure for anti-noise barriers for roads and high-speed multilane motorways, out of a conglomerate of ground tyres, according to the present invention will be explained more in detail hereinbelow relating to the enclosed drawings.

Figure 1 shows an axonometric view of a structure for anti-noise barriers for roads and high-speed multilane motorways, according to the present invention.

Figure 2 shows the conglomerate material forming said barriers, in a vertical section.

Figure 3 shows a variant of installation of the structure according to the present invention, wherein said structure is realized englobing the so called cement"New Jersey"barriers, actually used for separating the lanes on roads and high-speed multilane motorways, which in this case absorb bumps and cooperate for the stability of < the barrier out of conglomerate in mfavourable atmospheric conditions.

The enclosed figures show a structure for anti-noise barriers for roads and high-speed multilane motorways, consisting of : - a conglomerate 1 of used tyres, grotmd together with their inner wires and with elements connected with adhesive materials like polyuretllanic resins, at room temperature, with an internally hollow shape for reducing the total weight ; - an inner supporting framework 2, out of reinforced iron rods and possible strengthening thin plates 3, around which said conglomerate 1 is cast by means of fonnworks ; - a series of cavities 4, arranged on the surface of said structure during construction, for placing thereon portions of lawn and/or artificial leaves and flowers, so as to aquire a pleasant aesthetic look; - a possible layer of enamels or other sound-absorbing products cooperating in absorbing the noise together with the molecular structure of said conglomerate 1, which prevents the transfer of the acoustic vibrations through its thickness ; - means for removing said barriers by means of a crane, like upper hooks 5 and lower seizings 6 for the transport thereof with elevator undercarriage ; - possible ballast means and means for fixing to the ground ; - possible means for connecting each modular portion of the anti- sound barrier with the adjacent elements.

In possible variants according to the present invention, above described conglomerate may comprise in its mixture-besides me

elements of ground tyre-also other light recycled materials, like expanded polyurethanc, wood waste, expanded clay and different plastic material.

Furthermore, for facilitating the assembling during installation, said structure 1 may also be realized out of two blocks superimposed one upon the other, according to dotted line 7 in figure 3.
