Abstract:

A structure for attaching a protective member that, from the side, covers a constituent component disposed on the upper part of an engine main body (4), wherein: a fuel tank (20) is provided to the upper surface of the engine main body (4); a fuel tank bracket (90) that secures the fuel tank (20) is attached to the upper surface of the engine main body (4); a first stay (120) for attaching a first protective member (side cover (7)) that covers a side surface of the fuel tank (20) is attached to the fuel tank bracket (90); and the first protective member (side cover (7)) is configured so as to be attached to the fuel tank bracket (90) via the first stay (120), whereby attachment strength and attachment precision are ensured.
