A cowl panel 1 includes: a front vertical plate portion 12 which stands upright in the width direction of the vehicle; a side vertical plate portion 13 which is bent from an outer end, in the width direction of the vehicle, of the front vertical plate portion 12 and stands upright extending toward the rear; a front transverse plate portion 14 which extends forward from a lower edge of the front vertical plate portion 12; and a side transverse plate portion 15 which extends to the outside in the width direction of the vehicle from a lower edge of the side vertical plate portion 13. The cowl panel 1 is disposed below a rear portion of an engine hood 3. A cowl supporting surface 7 includes a front supporting surface 8 and a side supporting surface 9 on which the front transverse plate portion 14 and the side transverse plate portion 15 of the cowl panel 1 are respectively placed. A rear edge 8a of the front supporting surface 8 and a vehicle width direction inner edge 9a of the side supporting surface 9 demarcate a recessed space 10 which is recessed downward. A lower end of a bent portion 18 between the front vertical plate portion 12 and the side vertical plate portion 13 is disposed above the recessed space 10, away from the cowl supporting surface 7.
