To provide a structure for the fuel filling section of a fuel tank, the structure being capable of preventing the insertion of a fuel filling gun which has a diameter outside a specific range and enabling the fuel filling gun to be extremely easily operated when the fuel filling gun is inserted into the fuel filling section. A lock mechanism (40) is provided to a flapper valve (20). The lock mechanism (40) is configured in such a manner that, against the insertion of a fuel filling gun having a diameter outside a specific range, the lock mechanism (40) locks the pivoting of the flapper valve (20) and unlocks the flapper valve (20) by the insertion of a fuel filling gun having a diameter within the specific range. When a fuel filling gun having a diameter within the specific range is inserted into a fuel filling opening (26), the lock mechanism (40) does not enter the inside of the fuel filling gun and moves together with the flapper valve (20) to a position separated from the fuel filling gun.
