Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a structure for installing a sound insulation material in an automobile door trim, said structure being suitable for improving installation work efficiency and installation stability for the sound insulation material and for ensuring that sound insulation is fit to requirement. [Solution] A structure for installing a sound insulation material 5 in an automotive door trim 1, wherein a waist flange portion 3 has an end part on which is disposed a stepped portion 6 which is lower than an inner seal attachment surface 3A of the waist flange portion, with the sound insulation material 5 being adhered onto the stepped portion 6, a sealing base portion 40 of an inner seal 4 is disposed on the adhered sound insulation material 5 such that a portion of the sound insulation material 5 is sandwiched between the stepped portion 6 and the seal base portion 40 of the inner seal 4, and a vertical wall surface 6A of the stepped portion 6 serves as an installation reference surface for the sound insulation material 5 so that the leading end face 5A of the sound insulation material 5 is placed in contact with the installation reference surface.
