Abstract:

A structure for joining panels of an elevator car together. A first groove-shaped folded section is provided at a joint edge section of a first car panel, and the first groove-shaped folded section has a groove-shaped cross-section having an opening and an inner space having a width greater than the width of the opening.A second groove-shaped folded section is provided at a joint edge section of a second car panel, and the second groove-shaped folded section has a body width greater than the width of the opening of the first car panel and smaller than the width of the inner space. The second groove-shaped folded section is press fitted into the inner space through the opening of the first groove-shaped folded section, and the two groove-shaped folded sections are elastically joined and held together. The first groove-shaped folded section has a first side wall along the joint edge section, a bottom wall, and a second side wall, and is formed along the inner space and opening joint edge sections. The second groove-shaped folded section may have a shape similar to the first groove-shaped folded section or may have two side walls folded back and superposed over each other.
