Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a structure for measurement and a measurement system, which are suitable for non-contact measurement of the morphological characteristics (for example, body length or total length, body width, body height, etc.) of aquatic animals in the water (for example, fish, crustaceans, etc.). According to the present embodiment, a measurement device detects images of aquatic animals and shapes on the basis of a predetermined detection method from images captured by an image capturing device under circumstances in which the structure for measurement is installed in the water and a lighting device is emitting light, and measures the morphological characteristics from the detected images on the basis of a predetermined measurement method. The structure for measurement has an image capturing unit, an accommodation unit, and a lighting unit, wherein the image capturing device is disposed at a predetermined position in space inside the image capturing unit, and the lighting device is disposed at a predetermined position in space inside the lighting unit.
