Abstract:
A structure for mounting a strut rod (1) onto a vehicle panel (2) via a strut mount (3) comprising a cylindrical body (4) having a tapered shape that increases in diameter toward the lower side of the center axis, and a rubber elastic body (5) affixed along the entire periphery of the external peripheral surface of the cylindrical body (4), wherein the strut rod (1) is inserted through the cylindrical body (4) and the rubber elastic body (5) is fitted inside an upper recess (6) provided to the vehicle panel (2); an annular rigid member (10) having a larger planar contour dimension than a through-hole (8) formed in a top wall (7) of the recess (6) in the vehicle panel (2) is mounted on the strut rod upper end portion (9) that is made to protrude upward from the through-hole (8); a concavity (12) produced by deformation of all or part of the peripheral edge part of the through-hole (8) toward the cylindrical body (4) is provided to the recessed top wall (7) of the vehicle panel (2); an elastic stopper member (11) for restricting the downward displacement of the strut rod (1) under joint action with the annular rigid member (10) is provided to the external peripheral edge of the annular rigid member (10) so as to protrude downward and be in contact with the bottom surface of the concavity (12); and at least a part of the elastic stopper member (11) is made to enter into the concavity (12) of the vehicle panel (2) in an orientation acted upon by the vehicle weight.
