Abstract:
In the case of a desktop cutting machine, it is so arranged that when the area where a rotary cutting tool is mounted on a spindle is to be guarded by a guard member installed in a body case, then a fixing device which fixes this guard member in a guard position is prevented from being loosened to such an extent as to be separated, thereby improving workability in maintenance work including rotary cutting tool replacement. The head section (30a) of a fixing device (30) is caused to enter an engagement hole (31a) of a leaf spring (31), thereby having the coercive force thereof act in the tightening direction. This leaf spring (31) prevents inadvertent excessive loosening of the fixing device (30), thereby precluding separation thereof from the body case (11).
