Abstract:
This structure for preventing submersion of a seismic base isolated building is provided with: a lower foundation plate (31) provided on the ground (22); an upper foundation plate (32) provided above the lower foundation plate (31) and on which a reactor containment vessel (11) is disposed; a seismic base isolating device (33) that comprises a plurality of seismic base isolating structures (36) disposed at prescribed intervals in the horizontal direction between the lower foundation plate (32) and the upper foundation plate (31); a drainage channel (42) that is provided around the periphery of the lower foundation plate (31); and a siphon pipe (51) that discharges water in the drainage channel (42) to the outside. This configuration prevents functional damage caused by submerging of the seismic base isolating device and thereby improves safety performance.
