Abstract:
A structure for the rear part of a jet engine has an axis. The structure comprises: a casing surrounding a duct about the axis and open axially forward and rearward; a cone having a pointed rear end, the cone forming a first angle relative to the axis and being tapered rearward; one or more guide vanes each extending radially from the corn toward the casing and each comprising a positive-pressure surface forming a second angle relative to a plane including the axis; one or more spray bars each extending radially within the duct and comprising one or more rearward facing rear surfaces each forming a third angle relative to a plane including the axis; and one or more frame holders each extending radially within the duct and comprising one or more rearward facing inner surfaces each forming a fourth angle relative to a plane including the axis.
