Abstract:
A structure for a rear part of a vehicle body, capable of receiving a rear collision input
load in a dispersed manner and in which the rigidity of suspension installation sections
of left and right rear wheels is increased. The structure has a cross member (10)
connected between rear frames (2, 2) extending in the front-rear direction of
the vehicle body. The cross member (10) has the suspension installation sections,
spare pan frames (20A, 20B) extended to the rear of the vehicle body from the cross
member (10) and holding spare pans (5), and a left and right pair of tank frames
(30, 30) connected to the cross member (10) at its portion near the center in the
left-right direction of the vehicle body, extended so as to expand from the cross
member (10) into the front left and right directions, and connected to left and
right floor frames or side sills (S, S).
