Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a simple structure for rotatably supporting a rotating shaft, the structure being configured so as to support even the shaft of an extremely heavy rotating body so that a thrust load acting in the axial direction of the rotating shaft can be drastically reduced and the rotating shaft can be horizontally stably rotated.
Provided is a structure for rotatably supporting a rotating shaft oriented vertically, the structure supporting the rotating shaft so that the rotating shaft can be rotated substantially horizontally, the structure being configured so that: the structure is provided with a cylindrical pole in which the lower part of the rotating shaft is accommodated; a substantially annular magnet which is substantially perpendicular to the axis of the pole is provided in an affixed manner within the pole; a substantially annular magnetic body which is perpendicular to the rotating shaft is provided in an affixed manner to the lower part of the rotating shaft; the rotating shaft is passed through the hole of the substantially annular magnet provided in an affixed manner to the pole, with the lower part of the rotating shaft accommodated in the pole; the substantially annular magnet which is provided in an affixed manner to the pole and the substantially annular magnetic body which is provided in an affixed manner to the rotating shaft are provided parallel to each other such that the substantially annular magnetic body provided in an affixed manner to the rotating shaft is located below the substantially annular magnet provided in an affixed manner to the pole; and the rotating shaft is raised relative to the pole by magnetic force.
