Abstract:
Provided is a structure for a vehicle high-strength member which makes it possible to effectively ensure high strength and rigidity while increases in weight are curbed. The structure for a vehicle high-strength member comprises a vehicle high-strength member main body (23) which is provided at the front inside the vehicle compartment and extends substantially in the vehicle width direction (22). The vehicle high-strength member main body (23) is shaped like a pipe having a circular cross section, and parts (41, 42) endowed with high rigidity in certain places are provided on only the inner diameter portion thereof, without any changes in the shape of the outer diameter. The vehicle high-strength member main body (23) is functionally divided into at least a driver’s seat-side section and a passenger seat-side section, and the structure of the part (41) endowed with high rigidity which is provided in the driver’s seat-side section has a different structure from that of the part (42) endowed with high rigidity which is provided in the passenger seat-side section.
