Abstract:
A strut mount comprising an inner fitting (12) to which the upper end of the rod of a buffer is fixed, an outer fitting (14) surrounding the same and attached to a car body, and an elastic body (16) interposed therebetween to damp vibrations, wherein the attaching piece (28) of the outer fitting (14) and an attaching plate (2) for the car body are formed in a curve like a spherical shape to increase rigidity so as to improve travelability. Further, the strut mount includes a non-fastening surface region (36) which sinks around the bolt-fastening surface region (30) of the attaching piece (28) through a step (34), thereby preventing rubber burring on the fastening surface. Use of a self-locking nut (52) fixed to the underside of the attaching piece (28) helps to reduce the weight of the product and to save time and labor involved in operation and reduce costs.
