Abstract:
Provided is a preferred user interface in which color information acquired by the optical sensor of a stylus is presented at the tip of the stylus with good visibility, and in which a visual feedback is given when the color information is transmitted to an electronic device. The stylus according to the present invention is provided with: a wireless link determination circuit which determines whether a wireless link has been established between the stylus and an electronic device that is provided with a position sensor and a display screen; a trigger signal generation circuit; an optical sensor which senses incident light; a memory circuit which stores color information about the incident light sensed by the optical sensor; a color presentation circuit which is disposed at the tip of the stylus and which presents a color corresponding to the color information; and a control circuit. The control circuit causes the color presentation circuit disposed at the tip of the stylus to present the color information sensed by the optical sensor, and when the color information is transmitted to the electronic device, the control circuit controls the color presentation circuit on the basis of signals coming from the wireless link determination circuit and the trigger signal generation circuit.
