Title:
SUBCHANNEL ENCODING DEVICE, SUBCHANNEL DECODING DEVICE, SUBCHANNEL ENCODING METHOD, SUBCHANNEL DECODING METHOD, AND SUBCHANNEL MULTIPLEXING OPTICAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/019620
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a subchannel encoding device (11) comprising: a probability distribution shaping-encoding unit (21) that divides M×N subchannels (M: an integer of 2 or greater; N: an integer of 1 or greater) into N groups and, on the basis of the signal-to-noise ratio of the M×N subchannels, shapes the probability distribution of the transmission modulation symbol of each group and converts an information bit string into a post-shaping bit string that corresponds to the probability distribution of the transmission modulation symbol of each group; a subchannel signal generation unit (22) that generates, from the post-shaping bit string, individual subchannel signals for the M×N subchannels; and a signal multiplexing unit (26) that multiplexes the M×N subchannel signals generated by the subchannel signal generation unit (22) and generates a subchannel multiplex signal.
