Abstract:
The exemplary embodiments described herein relate to the sub-division of a map of a robot application area for an autonomous mobile robot. According to one embodiment of the invention the method comprises: detection of obstacles and determination of their size and position on the map using sensors arranged on the robot; analysis of the map using a processor in order to identify an area with a cluster of obstacles; definition of a first sub-area using a processor such that the first sub-area contains an identified cluster.
