Abstract:
A subject extraction device (10) according to the present disclosure is provided with: a resolution reducing unit (111) which reduces the resolution of an image to generate a low-resolution image; a subject candidate extraction unit (112) which extracts subject area candidates from the low-resolution image; a resolution increasing unit (113) which increases the resolution of the boundary portion between subject areas and non-subject areas, determines whether each pixel of the boundary portion constitutes a non-subject area, and delineates the subject areas and the non-subject areas on the basis of the determination result; and a computing resource allocation unit (114) which determines, as a first value, a computing resource value to be assigned to the subject candidate extraction unit (112), determines, as a second value, a computing resource value to be assigned to the resolution increasing unit (113) in accordance with the number of subject areas, and allocates computing resources to the subject candidate extraction unit (112) and the resolution increasing unit (113) on the basis of the determined first value and second value.
