Abstract:
The present invention relates to a submerged breakwater block for coastal erosion protection and to a construction method using the same. More particularly, the submerged breakwater block of the present invention may be formed into an ocean current reflection-type submerged breakwater block comprising an ocean current reflection-type submerged breakwater block body, lower front and rear block blades, a bar-type joint protrusion, a pyramid-type fixing member, a pair of female and male grooves and protrusions. Alternatively, the submerged breakwater block of the present invention may be formed into an ocean current passage-type submerged breakwater block comprising an ocean current passage-type submerged breakwater block body, lower both side block blades, a bar-type joint protrusion, a pyramid-type fixing member, convex-concave joint grooves and protrusions, and a pair of female and male grooves and protrusions. Thus, the submerged breakwater blocks are firmly stacked and joined in vertical and horizontal directions to resist against swaying waves in a stable manner, effectively attenuate the energy of waves and naturally generate fish habitat.
