Abstract:
A submergence prediction system (100) for predicting the submergence depth at a submergence prediction point on land that will be submerged by a wave is provided with: a prediction formula generation unit (20) for selecting, on the basis of the maximum wave heights for a wave at a plurality of observation positions on water and submergence depths for each area on land to be submerged by the wave, at least one observation position for predicting the submergence depth at a submergence prediction point in an area on land and generating a prediction formula for predicting the submergence depth at the submergence prediction point; and a submergence depth prediction unit (50) for acquiring, from a sensor (210, 220), the maximum wave height measurement value at the observation position selected by the prediction formula generation unit (20) and predicting the submergence depth at the submergence prediction point using the prediction formula.
