Abstract:
A subsection speed limiting method and system for a vehicle. The method comprises: receiving a feature parameter of a route issued by a vehicle monitoring platform, and according to the feature parameter of the route, respectively extending a plurality of road sections in the route to a plurality of rectangles (S101); sequentially performing a block-division operation on the plurality of rectangles, wherein each block contains at least two rectangles, calculating a minimum circumscribed rectangle of the at least two rectangles, and performing statistics on vertex information about the minimum circumscribed rectangle of each block to construct a hash table (S102); acquiring instant latitude and longitude when a vehicle is running, searching for the hash table according to the instant latitude and longitude, so as to determine a block where the vehicle is currently located, and using a pre-set algorithm to determine a road section where the vehicle is currently located (S103); and comparing a current speed of the vehicle with a speed limit value of the road section where the vehicle is currently located, and determining whether the vehicle is overspeed, and if the vehicle is overspeed, then reporting overspeed information and instant latitude and longitude of the vehicle to the vehicle monitoring platform (S104). The method and system can enable a vehicle terminal to autonomously determine whether the vehicle is overspeed, which has the advantages of accurate judgement, a high degree of timeliness, and low memory consumption.
