Abstract:
A substance detection system (1) that comprises a substance sensor (2) and a pump (3). The substance sensor (2) is provided in a first space (10) and detects a target substance (M). The pump (3) supplies gas that is in a second space (20) to the first space (10). When the target substance (M) is in at least one of the first space (10) and the second space (20), there are different concentrations of the target substance (M) in the first space (10) and the second space (20). The pump (3) intermittently supplies gas that is in the second space (20) to the first space (10).
