Abstract:
The present invention provides art that enables modification of an antibody, particularly regioselective modification of an antibody. More specifically, the present invention provides a substance having affinity for an antibody, and a compound or salt thereof having a bioorthogonal functional group, which are represented by formula (I): A-L-E-B (where, A is a substance having affinity for an antibody, L is a divalent group containing a leaving group, E is a divalent group containing an electrophilic group that (i) is linked to the leaving group and (ii) has a capacity for reacting with a nucleophilic group in the antibody, B is a bioorthogonal functional group, and the leaving group has a capacity for separating from and leaving E due to a reaction between the nucleophilic group and the electrophilic group).
