The invention concerns the novel compound 2-(4-tert.butyl-cyclohexyl)-propan-1-ol and perfumes as well as perfumed products comprising this compound. It is a powerful fragrance material with strong sandalwood and muguet odour notes. Perfumes preferably comprise at least 0.01 % w/w of the compound.
