Abstract:
A substrate-integrated waveguide antenna is disclosed. An eighth-mode substrate-integrated waveguide (EMSIW) reduces the size of a substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) to one-eighth, along perfect magnetic walls (PMW). A complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) is loaded onto the EMSIW. According to the present invention, a small SIW antenna having excellent emission performance in terms of gain and efficiency is provided by loading the CSRR onto the EMSIW wherein the size of an existing SIW is reduced to one-eighth, and by changing the rotation angle of the CSRR.
