Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a substrate for a photoelectric conversion element in which it is possible to efficiently diffuse alkali metal ions in a photoelectric conversion semiconductor layer, and in which the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the photoelectric conversion element is increased. [Solution] A substrate for a photoelectric conversion element is made comprising an alkali metal silicate layer (30), which includes sodium silicate and lithium silicate or potassium silicate on a substrate (10), or alternatively is made comprising an alkali metal silicate layer (30) (not containing alkali earth metals) which includes silicon, an alkali metal and at least one kind among group-13 elements other than aluminium and group-15 elements other than nitrogen, and is formed on a substrate (10) by means of a liquid phase method.
