Abstract:
Disclosed are a subtitle inserting system and a subtitle inserting method for inserting, into a video, subtitles and subtitle sound effects which apply a user's desired subtitle style. The subtitle inserting system may comprise: a user interface which is used for receiving, from a user, at least one from among subtitles to be inputted to a video screen, sound effects, and a subtitle style; a subtitle DB for storing therein a plurality of subtitle styles; a subtitle insertion unit for displaying the subtitles inputted by the user on the video screen after applying a subtitle style selected by the user thereto; a sound effect DB for storing therein a plurality of subtitle sound effects which are sorted by category; and a sound effect insertion unit for outputting a subtitle sound effect selected by the user through a speaker and displaying sound effect setting information about the subtitle sound effect selected by the user.
