Abstract:
This suction catheter 1 comprises a second tube 41 having a suction lumen 10 that extends from the proximal side towards the distal side, and a suction port 11 that is formed at the distal side of the suction lumen. One end of the suction port is disposed on the distal side and the other end is disposed on the proximal side. When the second tube is positioned such that a distal end 11a of the suction port is vertically upwards and a proximal end 11b of the suction port is vertically downwards, a section including the lower end, in the vertical direction, of the proximal end of the suction port is located on one cross-section orthogonal to a first direction in which the suction lumen extends, the section extending in the vertical direction when the tube is viewed from a side orthogonal to the first direction and the vertical direction. When the suction port is viewed downwards from the vertical direction, the curvature at a proximal end part 11d of the suction port is smaller than the curvature at a distal end part 11c.
