Abstract:
Provided are a suction conveyance device and an ink jet printing apparatus that suppress clogging of a porous member caused by generation of abrasion residues of the porous member and suppress deformation of pores of the porous member to prevent reduction of suction pressure. This suction conveyance device is provided with: a metallic conveyance belt that has a plurality of pores and that conveys, in a first direction, a recording medium being in contact with a first surface thereof; a metallic abrasion-resistant sheet having a plurality of pores and a contact surface that slidably makes contact with a second surface which is the opposite surface of the first surface of the conveyance belt; a porous member that supports the opposite surface of the contact surface of the abrasion-resistant sheet; and a vacuum part that is connected to the porous member.
