Abstract:
Disclosed is a sudden acceleration prevention apparatus for an automobile, which is installed in a power transmission structure between a throttle valve and a motor and has a structure of interrupting a transmission of power of the motor to the throttle valve when the motor is operated by an electrical error in a state in which a driver does not step on an acceleration pedal. When being applied to an automobile having an automatic transmission, the present invention can mechanically interrupt the transmission of the power of the motor to the valve even when the motor for opening/closing the throttle valve is operated by an electrical error in a state in which the driver does not step on the acceleration pedal, and thus prevent sudden acceleration.
