Title:
SULFIDE AND PHOTOELECTRIC ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/095608
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a sulfide which, when used in, for example, the light-absorbing layer of a solar cell, brings about relatively high levels of multiple properties including conversion efficiency, open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current density, and form factor and attains an excellent balance among properties. Also provided is a photoelectric element formed using the sulfide. The sulfide is characterized in that the sulfide contains copper, zinc, and tin as major components, and that when the Cu/(Zn+Sn) ratio and the Zn/Sn ratio (both being atomic ratios) are expressed by x and y, respectively, and the composition is shown on the (x, y) coordinate system, then the composition of the sulfide (x, y) is on the lines connecting the points A (0.78, 1.32), B (0.86, 1.32), C (0.86, 1.28), D (0.90, 1.23), E (0.90, 1.18), and F (0.78, 1.28) in the order of A→B→C→D→E→F→A or within the range surrounded by these lines.
