Abstract:

Provided are a novel carbonyl group-containing sulfonic acid and carboxylic acid, and salts thereof. The present invention is a compound represented by the formula: R1-C(=O)-(CR2 2)n-(OR3)p-(CR4 2)q-L-A (In the formula, R1 is an optionally substituted straight chain or branched chain alkyl group having 1 or more carbon atoms or an optionally substituted cyclic alkyl group having 3 or more carbon atoms. R2 and R4 are each independently H or a substituent group. R3 is an optionally substituted alkylene group having 1-10 carbon atoms. n is an integer that is 1 or higher. p and q are each independently an integer that is 0 or higher. A is -SO3X or -COOX (X is H, a metal atom, NR5 4, an optionally substituted imidazolium group, an optionally substituted pyridinium group or an optionally substituted phosphonium group, R5 is H or an organic group, and multiple R5 groups may be the same as, or different from, each other. L is a single bond, -CO2-B-*, -OCO-B-*, -CONR6-B-*, -NR6CO-B-* or -CO- (excluding carbonyl groups contained in -CO2-B-, -OCO-B-, -CONR6-B- or -NR6CO-B-), B is a single bond or an optionally substituted alkylene group having 1-10 carbon atoms, and R6 is H or an optionally substituted alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms. * indicates the side of the moiety which bonds to A in the formula).
