Abstract:
A foldable canopy for a stroller or buggy comprising at least two bracket-like approximately U-shaped struts (10,11), which are connected to one another in an articulated manner approximately in their end region so as to be pivotable about a joint axis (12), wherein a foldable material of textile or plastic is fastened to the struts (10,11) or is stretched across them, wherein the foldable canopy can be folded or collapsed from an unfolded protective position, in which it protects the child lying in the stroller against incident solar radiation, into an open position, and wherein the two bracket-like struts (10,11) are connected to one another above the joint axis (12) via at least one guide (15), which, in turn, engages with a guide element (16), with respect to which one of the struts (10,11) is guided in a displaceable manner. It is attained with this structural solution that a leverage is quasi attained by exerting a force on one of the two bracket-like struts (10,11) and that a displacement of the other with respect to the guide element (16), in which it is guided, is effected via the guide (15), whereby the canopy moves into the unfolded protective position.
