Abstract:
A superabsorbent composite sheet which comprises a nonwoven fabric substrate having a bulky structure, a solid superabsorbent polymer a part of which is held within the nonwoven fabric substrate and the remainder of which is exposed on the surface of the substrate, and a heat-fusible component, wherein the heat-fusible component is a hot melt adhesive which forms single or double fibrous networks covering the solid superabsorbent polymer and fibers of the substrate contacting the polymer, to thereby hold the solid superabsorbent polymer in a certain position; and a method for preparing the superabsorbent composite sheet.
